Project Development Updates
-
September 9: Our elementary and high school principals met with PBK Architects to discuss materials and tour the schools. Additionally, during the board meeting on the same day, PBK presented information regarding the prevailing wage rate determination, which is the standard pay rate set by the State of Texas for workers in the area based on similar jobs. The board approved adopting this rate for both the elementary school expansion and the high school CTE addition.
-
September 12: PBK gave a presentation to each school's design committee, focusing on interior materials. The presentation included material samples, with discussions on colors, textures, maintenance, and application.
-
September 30: Our district will meet with PBK to review design changes from the previous meetings and discuss the next steps for the coming months. Drymalla Construction will be joining this meeting for the first time, providing key insights on pricing and estimated construction costs for each project.
-
Renderings Update: The renderings are still undergoing revisions to incorporate recent changes and feedback from our discussions. These updates ensure that the design aligns with the district's objectives and better meets the needs of our students and staff.
