Project Development Updates

April 6, 2026 – Progress Meeting 22

Progress Meeting 22, originally scheduled for April 6, 2026, has been rescheduled to April 13, 2026, due to Columbus ISD being closed.

March 23, 2026 – Progress Meeting 21

At the Elementary School, the classroom conversion to the Office SPED wing was issued for pricing, marking an important step toward implementation. Summer work is scheduled to commence as soon as possible to ensure the project remains on track to meet its deadline. Graphics for the elementary school have also been issued for pricing, with any remaining allowance to be reallocated to the overall project contingency. In addition, work on the exterior canopies is currently progressing.

At the High School, flooring work is ongoing and is anticipated to be completed prior to Easter. Installation of the security film will follow once the flooring is finished. The greenhouse project remains in the pricing phase, while selections for hallway acoustical panel graphics are currently underway.

March 9, 2026 – Progress Meeting 20

At the Elementary School, interior renovation drawings were nearing completion and scheduled for issuance on March 13, 2026, excluding SPED renovations, which were planned for release the following week. Interior wall graphics were reviewed and selected, allowing the team to proceed with implementation. Discussions regarding the sewer line continued among the City of Columbus, Columbus ISD, and Drymalla to resolve ongoing coordination challenges. Work to connect the new addition to the existing building was scheduled during spring break.

At the High School, the flooring issue was resolved, with Drymalla agreeing to cover the cost of installing new flooring in affected areas, including multiple labs, classrooms, restrooms, and hallways. Security film installation remained pending, while the dust collector installation was completed. Additionally, the first round of questions regarding the greenhouse project was received, and PBK provided responses to support ongoing development.
